ISSI’s dietitians transform health outcomes
The clinical aspect of Nutrition Services is fundamentally the most important for Tattnall & Screven Hospitals.
ISSI recruits Registered Dietitians that are enthusiastic about kitchen operations. They provide supervision in the kitchen to help operations run smoothly, while meeting patients’ clinical needs in a timely manner. They help to reduce readmissions and increase revenue for patients with a malnutrition diagnosis.
In addition to regular patient consults and charting, the Dietitians perform routine test trays, safety audits, monthly in services, and Nutrition Ambassador training to ensure high patient satisfaction.
Monthly nutrition education pop-ups are fun and informative. These events keep Hospital staff healthy and engaged with the Food Services Department
ISSI Dietitians Train Our
Nutrition Ambassadors
The Nutrition Ambassadors are the face of our department. This concept began with the understanding that those taking patient orders and delivering meals are the ones that make the greatest impact for our department’s topbox scores.
Our Ambassador program recruits for the most caring and personable individuals we can find. Often ambassadors are aspiring Dietitians or Nurses. ISSI Ambassadors are trained to be empathetic and responsive to all patients’ and their guests’ needs.
